Tony's Army Wife - surviving my first deployment

I have been soo crazy busy the last month and it's only going to get worse now that it's June! The Whiskey Girls have definately been picking up the pace, and I am still so excited to be a part of it all! A couple of weeks ago I attended an event in West Brdigewater, MA for Bettencourt's Open House. We sold WG merch, participated in a bikini bike wash, and got to meet a lot of really cool people! However, in the middle of everything I got a phone call from Jen saying that she could really use my help at the Seacoast Harley Davidson. It was already an hour drive to get back home, so I was looking at an hour and a half drive to make it to the other event. I told her I could do it and that I'd be there as soon as possible. There was a butt load of traffic on the highway, and as I was stuck in the middle lane behind a pickup truck, lugging a lil wood trailor, I was ever so lucky enough to have a rock kick back and hit my windshield. Just marvelous! It definately put a little chip in it. (Knock on wood, it hasn't spidered yet!) I made my way over to the left lane and with the help of my lead foot, I was able to bang out 90 mph.. until my radar detector started going crazy and Tony told me to slow down because that meant a cop's radar gun was pointed right at me. Yup. I was done. Mr. State Trooper pulled right up behind me and bagged me! Luckily he clocked me at 83mph and not the full 90. I've gotten off the hook so many times in the past that I knew it wasn't going to be so easy this time. I got my first speeding ticket ever of $180! I was not happy about it but there really wasn't anything I could do except laugh it off. There's a first time for everything, right?
